Asheville, NC, sometimes referred to as ‘the Paris of the South’, is located in the Blue Ridge mountain range and surrounded by national forests. The city is home to Art Deco architecture, artists, musicians, makers, brewers, and naturalists, creating a conscious community and a relaxed bohemian vibe. For centuries, it was thought Asheville’s mountain air brought health and wellness. The magnetism of the area remains.
On the old farms outside of the city limits, sits fallow historic tobacco farming infrastructure. Asheville Hemp Project resuscitated one of these old tobacco farms to produce hemp. We grow, dry, and cure hemp using the same tools, buildings, and methodology from the golden age of North Carolina tobacco.
